Thank you for visiting our condo rental website for our Sea Turtle oceanfront condo located in the Seawinds Condominium building of lovely Ormond Beach, Florida.
We moved to Ormond by the Sea, a beautiful and well kept secret, almost 9 years ago from the Mid-West and love it as much today as we did when we first drove over the Granada bridge and saw the huge expanse of the blue Atlantic Ocean staring back at us. It still gives us a thrill to drive over that bridge and we know you will agree once you see this special place by the sea.
We both grew up in Chicago, Illinois before taking career moves from Champaign/Urbana, Illinois to Minnesota, Missouri, Tennessee, Ohio and back again to St. Louis with our three children. But once all three children were attending University of Missouri, we retired in St. Louis, we decided to run away to the sea....all the way east to the Atlantic Coast of Florida...as far as we could go. Downsizing from our big midwestern homes was liberating for us. We have never looked back. We did our time in the snow and now it was time for the beach.
Sure, we checked out the Gulf coast of Florida and south Florida first, but found that we could live right on the ocean here rather than a few miles or blocks away. Ormond Beach and Ormond by the Sea offer a great value for fun and easy going coastal living. Here we found a great beach location that had less traffic and fewer crowds and yet was close to airports and plenty of nearby attractions.
We are avid travelers and enjoy visiting so many places in this world...but coming home is always wonderful.
